NICE TO MEET YOU!

One of my lifelong passions is content, instilled in me from a young age with a love of reading. Words and images on a page or screen are an opportunity to tell a story, to craft a brand’s personality and position, and I enjoy the process of orchestrating that narrative—particularly in editorial and B2B marketing capacities.

If I hadn’t landed on graphic design in college, I’d have chosen biology instead! I see layout as the quintessential intersection of art and science; the logic and order established by grid systems and visual hierarchy appeal to my way of thinking, to treat each project as a puzzle to be solved. This also means my approach is holistic, combining design direction with content editing—looking at the entire piece as a Gestalt whole—and with consideration for disciplines other than just my own. This serves to elevate every brand I touch. My background began in print, but my exacting nature has made me equally versed in pixel-perfection over the last 20 years.

I am a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a BA in graphic design and a creative writing minor. (Even as a student, I never saw design as an art form separate from content.) As an end cap to my collegiate career, I studied book arts in a Summer Study Abroad Program with the Santa Reparata International School of Art in Florence, Italy. A lifelong learning enthusiast, I later enrolled in summer coursework for Continuing & Professional Studies in Multimedia at the Kansas City Art Institute (2016). Currently, I reside in lovely Denver, CO.
